A banner says: 'West LB & Steinbrück destroy the last ancient forest!' and 'Stop the billion loan!' Straight before the hearing of the application in the state parliament in Düsseldorf about the controversial pipeline project, Greenpeace emphasizes it's demands to terminate the billion loan given by the West LB and the Northrhine Westphalian state government, that is the biggest stockholder (with 43%) of the lender bank West LB.State minister of finance, Peer Steinbrück has a keyrole in this project. Despite of the criticism on this project of minister president Clement, Steinbrück retains on his loan amounting to 1 billion euro. The round about 500 km long pipeline is very dangerous for the ancient forest, several species and the human beings. Not only that the pipeline should be laid through sensitive eco areas and near to irreplaceable drinking water reservoirs. Furthermore the pipelines' route leads through earthquake shakened areas near some 6 active vulcanos. On this tape: Interview: Martin Kaiser, Greenpeace Germany forest expert (10:03:31-10:03:48),Yvonne Ramoz, NGO Accion Ecologica, Ecuador.14 Jan, 2002GreenpeaceDrehorte:DüsseldorfLänge:6m43sParent folder:WESTDEUTSCHE LANDESBANK FINANCES PIPELINE-PROJECT IN ECUADOR, WEST LB, DÜSSELDORF NEWS ACCESSPurpose:PublicShareKeywords:Demonstrationen / Proteste-Öffentliche Gebäude-PipelinesBearbeitung:GeklammertSelect usageVerwendungszweck (Gebühren werden nur bei tatsächlicher Nutzung fällig)?Nennen Sie eine Medienkategorie für Ihren Verwendungszweck.
